About Rep The Set

An interval and circuit timer for structured training: stations, blocks and rounds, with live heart rate.

Why it exists

Most interval timers treat a workout as one repeating interval: work, rest, repeat. Circuit training is not shaped like that. A HYROX-style session is stations grouped into blocks, blocks repeated in rounds, some stations on time and others on reps, with rest that belongs in specific places. Running that from a generic timer means either flattening the workout until it fits or juggling a timer, a notebook and a heart-rate app at once.

Rep The Set is the timer built for that structure. You define the workout the way you would write it on a whiteboard, then run it on a full-screen clock that shows the current interval and the whole session at once, with voice cues so you are not reading a phone mid-burpee. A Bluetooth heart-rate strap adds live BPM and zones, and every session becomes history you can compare.

What it is, and is not

It is an iOS app, with this website as the place to build and review workouts on a bigger screen. The run experience (timers, voice, haptics, heart-rate display) is free. Pro is a one-time purchase that adds analytics, difficulty targets, reminders and unlimited saved workouts. There is no subscription.

There is also no ad network and no third-party tracking. Free users see ads from a short list we publish ourselves: the same list for everyone, with nothing about you attached. What the app collects and why is in the privacy policy, written to be read.

Who builds it

A small independent team that trains this way. Feature decisions come from sessions that went wrong: the difficulty bands exist because "was that good?" is a real question after a circuit, and the reminders skip a nudge after a workout because being congratulated and nagged in the same hour is absurd. If something in the app fights you mid-session, that is a bug: tell us.
