Sim day gets a result: race simulation mode

The full race shape in your gym: eight 1 km runs alternating with the eight standard stations, open-ended so you tap through at your pace, ending in a race-shaped result of splits and total time. Free, in the next app update.

Rep The Set now has a race simulation mode. It runs the full race shape in your gym: eight 1 km runs alternating with the eight standard stations, in race order, from SkiErg to wall balls. Stations are open-ended, meaning nothing counts you down. You work until the station is done, tap once, and move on.

The tap is the whole interface, on purpose. The entire screen advances to the next segment, so there is nothing to aim for with sweaty hands, and the voice announces what comes next so there is nothing to read. Put the phone on the floor and race.

At the end you get what a sim day has always been missing: a result. A split for every run and every station, your total time, and a quiet line for the time between segments. Share it as text with one tap.

One honest note about that quiet line. In a real race, the roxzone is a genuine part of your time: real distance through a crowded transition area, and it routinely costs several minutes. A gym has no roxzone; walking from the treadmill to the sled is a few seconds. So we do not pretend those are the same thing. The time between segments is kept separate purely so your run and station splits stay clean, and it is never presented as something to train. If your race day ends up slower than your sim, the roxzone is usually most of the reason, and no gym clock can simulate it.

Why is it free? Because running the session has always been the free part of Rep The Set, and a sim is a session. The result screen, the splits and the sharing are included. Pro stays what it was: the analytics across sessions, difficulty targets, reminders, unlimited saved workouts.

To try it, open the presets and look under the race simulation filter for HYROX Race Simulation, or build your own race-shaped workout and run it in race mode. It arrives in the next app update.
